Biographies
FOUNDERS, CFO & VP OF OPERATIONS & DEVELOPMENT

David Kim, Founder & Chief Executive Officer
David is the global co-head of investor relations for Apax Partners, a leading global private equity
investment firm operating across the United States, Europe and Asia. He is an honors
graduate at the U.S. Military Academy at West Point and the Harvard Business School. He
served as an artillery officer in the U.S. Army where he participated in Operation Just Cause in
Panama in 1989 with the 7th Infantry Division. He founded Children of Fallen Patriots Foundation
to honor the memory of Sergeant Delaney Gibbs, who was killed during this operation, five days
before Christmas and had a baby daughter due in March. Many years later, the Foundation
tracked down his daughter and assisted her with college.

Cynthia Kim, Founder & Volunteer Programs Director
Cynthia has managed the organization’s rapid growth and oversees the process of enrolling
eligible families and distributing grants. She also works personally with Children of Fallen
Patriots Foundation families to provide them emotional support and guidance. She also
plays a crucial role in Children of Fallen Patriots Foundation’s fundraising activities, planning
major galas and other fundraising initiatives. Cynthia graduated with a liberal arts degree in
Biology and Chemistry from Hollins University and is a former sales representative for Becton
Dickinson.

Peter Hogarth, Chief Financial Officer
Peter Hogarth has joined Fallen Patriots as Chief Financial Officer, bringing with him nonprofit
leadership as the Vice President of Finance for the Special Olympics, the world’s largest sports
organization for people with intellectual disabilities for more than 4.7 million athletes in 169
countries and over a million volunteers. He is a graduate of American University.

John Lindsay, Vice President of Operations
John joined the Fallen Patriots team in September 2016 and will oversee the Foundation’s
operations. Before joining Fallen Patriots, John completed a 28-year career in the Army
culminating as a senior officer leading, managing and directing the operations of Department of
Defense organizations ranging in size from 200 to 10,000 personnel. His final assignment before he
retired was Director of U.S. Army Aviation in the Pentagon. John is a graduate of the United States
Military Academy at West Point, the Army’s Rotary Wing Qualification Course, the AH-64 Apache
Instructor Pilot Course, the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College and the U.S. Army War
College National Security Fellowship program.

Robert Moeller, Vice President of Development
Robert oversees the Foundation’s Development efforts. Before joining Fallen Patriots, Robert served
as a Seal in the United States Navy for 13 years. His service included a variety of operational
deployments to include assignment to the Navy’s elite Seal Team 6. His final assignment before
joining Fallen Patriots was with Seal Team Two in Virginia Beach, VA where he oversaw Maritime
Operation Training.
