Claiborne, 64 – Lake Forest Express • Timetable Changes 12 – St. Charles Streetcar, 12 – St. Charles Streetcar Shuttle, 64 – Lake Forest Express, 100 – Algiers Owl Loop The RTA Board of Commissioners recently approved its 2014 Budget. The Budget includes additional bus services targeted at reducing wait times, increasing later evening access and providing more service in Orleans Parish. The service changes for January 5, 2014 are an investment in more bus service serving Orleans Parish by the RTA Board of Commissioners. Another Rider Alert will be posted announcing community workshops and a public hearing to review additional investments in new bus services in 2014. Please turn over this page for a summary of service changes effective January 5, 2014. The goal of these changes is to reduce wait times, increase later evening access and add more trips on more bus lines on Saturday. New timetables will be available on buses and streetcars and at Public Libraries. For bus lines and streetcar lines with no changes, timetables from August 25, 2013 are still valid. Claiborne More Weekday Trips 51 – 52 St. Bernard More Saturday Trips 57 – Franklin More weekday Commute Trips Maintenance work is switching in uptown. St. Charles Streetcars will run between Canal Street and Louisiana Avenue and Jefferson Street and S. Claiborne Avenue. Transfer to the St. Charles Bus shuttle between Louisiana Avenue and Jefferson Street. Weekdays: Between 9:30 AM and 1:30 PM, bus service increased to every 30 minutes from 60 minutes. Weekday 51‐52 timetables added to Saturday. 52‐ St. Bernard – St. Anthony increased to every 40 minutes from 80 minutes. Two additional trips and later service on 51 – St. Bernard ‐ Senate. Weekday trips increased to every 24 minutes from 36 minutes between 7:00 AM to 10:00 AM and 3:00 AM to 8:00 PM. 62 – Morrison More Later Evening Trips every day. More Saturday Trips. Saturday timetable changes with more service added after 6:30 PM and more frequent service from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Sunday timetable changes with more trips added after 6:30 PM to 11:20 PM. Weekday trips increased to every 35 minutes to 7:15 PM from every 45 minutes. Last trip leaves Canal Street at 10:20 PM instead of 10:35 PM. 63 – New Orleans East Owl departs 12:10 AM from Canal Street. New late evening trips added at 11:15 PM and 12:40 AM. Last trip to Aycock Street will return from Aycock Street using the Line 84 – Galvez line through the Lower 9th Ward and end at N. Claiborne Street at Poland Avenue. Weekdays, trips every 60 minutes added after 8:00 PM. Weekends, trips every 60 minutes added after 7:00 PM. New late evening trips added at 10:20 PM, 11:45 PM and 1:20 AM instead of 10:17 PM and 12:05 AM. The Algiers Loop Owl will return to Canal Street using General De Gaulle Drive and no longer Garden Oaks or Vespasian Boulevard. For trips to these neighborhoods, ride Line 114 – General De Gaulle – Sullen. New late evening trips added at 10:20 PM, 11:45 PM and 1:20 AM. These trips terminate at Woodland at Tullis. For trips to the Cutoff (Bennett at Berkley), ride Line 100 – Algiers Owl Loop.
