BEER LINE CLEANING GUIDE 1. Turn off the glycol pump on the glycol chiller unit. 2. Connect required beer lines to the wash out system. 3. Connect water to the wash out system. 4. Run water through the beer lines until the water runs clear at the taps. 5. Prepare the sanitising solution according to the manufacturer’s directions. 6. Disconnect the water from the cleaning system and connect the sanitising solution. 7. Run the sanitiser through the beer lines until it flows from the taps. Check for sanitiser at the tap with indicator strip. If using Hoshi Beerline Cleaner, the pink Hoshi Indicator Strip will turn blue if sanitiser has reached the taps. 8. Leave sanitising solution in the lines as per manufacture’s recommendations. For Hoshi Beerline Cleaner, leave for 2hrs, preferably overnight. 9. After the recommended time has elapsed, disconnect the sanitiser line from the cleaning system and connect the water. 10. Run sufficient water through all beer lines to ensure that all sanitiser has been removed from the lines. Toggle the tap on and off while flushing. Check at tap with indicator strip. For Hoshi Beerline Cleaner the indicator strip should remain pink. If the indicator strip colour is blue, repeat water flush and re-test. 11. Reconnect all beer lines to their respective beer kegs. 12. Draw off the water until beer reaches the taps. 13. Switch the glycol pump switch to the other pump (if fitted) i.e. if pump 'A" was running switch to pump 'B'. 14. Hold down the pump start switch (if fitted) for approximately 5 seconds, release switch and the pump should now run continuously. 15. Allow the system to settle for 15 minutes 16. Check that all beer taps have clean beer i.e. no froth. If they don’t, draw off beer until they run clear. 17. You are now ready for trading.
