The Spring Hill Sunrise January 2015 Newsletter Dear Spring Hill Parents and Guardians, We have lots of events and activities in store for our children and families as we continue to work towards the goal of creating a community where families develop friendships and we, as a school, give back to others. We could not provide all of the programs and support we do without your assistance and involvement. Thank you for all your help this year! I would like to thank all of the teachers and staff at Spring Hill Elementary who put their heart and soul into providing a nurturing, caring, loving and educational environment for each and every child. It is a privilege to work with this group of professionals. I would like to personally wish all of our families a very happy and healthy new year. Spring Hill Elementary won for “Most Pumpkins” and was rewarded by the City with a check in the amount of $300. A big Thank You to Brittany Lowery for chairing a very successful Santa’s Shop and to all of you who volunteered and made it possible. The PTO raised over $ 2,000. Breakfast with Santa was a lot of fun thanks to Mr.Hudson, his Elfs and all of you who volunteered. We would like to welcome Brittany Lowery as the new PTO Vice President and express our heartfelt gratitude to Wyshawn Walker for all of her hard work while on the PTO Board. 2015 SPRING HILL BOOSTERTHON Parents! We’re excited to host the 9-day Boosterthon Fun Run as this year’s fundraiser. We kick off the fun, healthy, and character-building program on February 9th, 2015. Plus, students will be learning five ways to make their community rock with Boosterthon’s character theme Rock’n Town Live, a music festival theme all about community. Along the way, students will gather pledges for how many laps they’ll run at the Boosterthon Fun Run event, which is on February 20th, 2015. Your family is invited to come out and cheer on your student! Please help our school by connecting your student with sponsors. Thank you for your support! TRASH DASH 5K/FUN RUN “Vivamus porta FRIDAY MARCH 13TH, 2015 est sed est.” We are gearing up to host our Annual 5K & Fun Run Event, This year our Trash Dash, which will be held on March 13th at 6pm. We hope we can count on you to make it a success. The Trash Dash is a great way to promote fitness and health, as well as raise much needed funds for SHES! Money raised will go towards classrooms and the school’s various needs. Look out for both the sponsor and sign up forms in your child’s backpack.
