Our students are now closer to “Intermediate Schoolers,” than elementary students. We ask that parents do their best to help the kids stay focused for the second half of the school year. The work load will be increasing and the students often need parental support to keep on top of all the work. It is essential that planners and folders are checked daily to help your child stay organized. Since the grade period ended on January 13th, report cards went home the weekend of January 20th. If you have concerns regarding your child’s progress, please send a note to the homeroom teacher as soon as possible. We are planning our second set of conferences and will make sure to make room for anyone with questions. Conference Night is set for Thursday, February 16th. We are on full swing of the second semester and we no longer have art class. The children love Mrs. Farkas, but she is now at West Blvd. and Stadium Dr. and we welcome Mr. Pavalko to our school for music. February is also a special month for the students as we celebrate Valentine’s Day with a party. This is scheduled for Tuesday, February 14th in the afternoon and take place in your child’s homeroom. Every student is welcome to bring Valentine’s and treats for his or her classmates. Your child’s teacher will be sending home a class list with the names of all the kids in the classroom and number of students in the class. Thank you for your continued support as we move into the second half of the school year. Please continue to encourage your child to do his or her very best each and every day.
