Reeve: I like that
dinosaurs can fly and that
they can roar. They have
big feet. Some have horns
and spikes on their backs
and also they have big
club tails.
Bridie: They have spikes,
long necks, tails and horns.
Some eat meat and plants.
They have big feet
because dinosaurs are big.
Beau: A Triceratops has
two big horns and one
little horn near its mouth.
A Stegosaurus has 17
bony plates on its back.
A Brachiosaurus has a
long neck to reach up
into the trees to eat the
leaves. I like how big
they are because they
protect their babies.
Digby: They are not really small, they are actually quite big. They
can be the same size as you. They can have really strong necks
so then they can eat their prey. They can eat plants and meat.
An herbivore is a plant eater, an omnivore is when they eat
both and a carnivore is a meat eater. I like that they are really
big.
Watch out for
dinosaurs in the
Year 1/2 Classroom!
Kenji: The Stegosaurus can stab other dinosaurs with his tail
and that’s a dangerous weapon. The bommy knocker could
hit other dinosaurs when it smashes the carnivores. The
carnivores eat meat and they get strong. Herbivores eat
vegies and that’s how they get stronger. Plant eaters have
googly eyes.
Olivia: They are very big and they
were all very tough. They all ate
different dinosaurs because they
were all different sizes. They all
lived in different places in the
forest in the Cretaceous Period.
Some dinosaurs have spikes for
protection and sharp teeth for
killing other dinosaurs. Some have
horns for stabbing other
dinosaurs.
Ashlee: Dinosaurs have diamonds on
their back so they can stab other
dinosaurs. The T-Rex has sharp
teeth so he can eat other
dinosaurs. The Brachiosaurus has a
long neck on its body. I like the
T-Rex the most.
Chaz: I know that a Triceratops has 3 horns to fight and protect itself. A Brachiosaur has
a long neck so it can eat plants off trees and a long tail to whip and protect itself. Some
dinosaurs have flippers so they can swim in the sea. Some have sharp claws so they can kill
their prey. Some dinosaurs are big and some are small. Tyrannosaurus-Rex because it has a long tail,
really sharp claws, sharp teeth and small arms.
