This Renaissance research project will have 2 parts. It will be started in class and completed at home. To
begin, go to my webpage and under the 6th Grade section select the Italian Renaissance PDF. Choose an
artist. You may use the links from my presentation or www.artchive.com (keyword renaissance.) Here you
will find additional links and a View Image List to research your artist. DO NOT use any images from any
section that says “reproductions or posters”
Part: 1
Answer the following questions and type your answers in a word document. You must copy and
paste all links used to answer the questions below.

Who is the artist that you chose to research?
What type of work did they create? ( paintings, sculptures, both, etc)
Three facts about the artist.
Quotes from the artist OR about the artist. (at least 3)
What you like or don’t like about the artist and their work (your opinion). Your opinion should
be specific.
6. Choose 4 pieces of art that the artist created. Copy and paste these pictures into your word
document. (you may not use any images shown and described in my presentation). The
pictures should be in color.
Part: 2
Once the questions in Part 1 are answered you are ready to use the information to create an
informative poster.
The poster must be at least 11 X 14 and no bigger than 16 X 20
The poster should clearly explain all of the answers to the questions from part 1.
The pictures of the artist’s artwork must be displayed in color with an accurate title/description
shown for each.
All text should be typed, cut, and pasted onto the poster (not hand written)
