Resources: • 10-12cm diameter polystyrene balls • Either red crepe

Resources:
 10-12cm diameter polystyrene
balls
 Either red crepe paper or red
small patty pans
 Black crepe paper cut into small
4cm square or circle pieces
 Dressmaking pins, the plain silver
ones without the coloured heads
 Light green paint
 12cm lengths of ribbon or string
Procedure:
1. Paint the polystyrene balls green and set aside to dry.
2. Cut flower shapes out of the red crepe paper approximately 5 cm in diameter.
This job is easily done if you have flower cutters. You will need approximately
17-20 cut outs.
3. Gently scrunch individual flower cut outs or patty pans and then unfold.
4. Scrunch up black crepe paper into a ball.
5. Place a piece of black crepe paper inside the red flower or patty pan, pierce
with a pin and then push into the polystyrene ball.
6. Work your way around the ball until it is covered.
7. Fold ribbon in half and pin the ends into the ball to form a loop for hanging.
