Oak Class Spellings
Here are your spellings to learn for the first autumn term 2015.
Purple and Green writing groups should learn list 1, Red and Yellow groups should learn list 2 and Blue group should learn list 3.
Remember, your spelling tests will always be on Friday afternoon so you have a whole week to learn these!
Learning hints:
 You could write them down again and again to get used to them.
 You could make yourself a word search.
 You could write them down with the tricky bits in another colour or write those parts HUGE so that they stick in your mind.
 You could even make something up to help you remember like ‘What? Oh u lucky duck’ to help you to remember w-o-u-l-d,
or ‘Big elephants can always understand small elephants’ for ‘because’.
The spelling test will only include ten of the spellings but make sure you learn them all – you will never know which they might be!
Every time you use one of these words correctly in your writing, you will earn a house-point because knowing these words is only
useful if you can remember and use them.
