Literacy Resources
For students who wish to practice reading English and
improve comprehension, we offer a collection of
audio books from Recorded Books Press called
SmartReaders and SteadyReaders. These materials
are specifically designed for those who wish to
improve English proficiency. The SmartReaders
include texts of specific reading levels and CDs that
allow students to follow along at speeds slower than
normal conversation. SteadyReaders are popular
titles that couple the original text with CDs that
narrate the text at 10-15% slower than normal.
