The Magna Carta School Relational Support Worker Accountable to: School Link: Hours: Salary: Operations Manager of east to west Tricia Jackson (SENCo) 24.5 hours per week, working on an academic timetable. Included in these stated hours: monthly team meetings, eleven team days, and two training days before the start of the autumn academic term £14,523 (FTE £22,229) on an academic contract The role of the Magna Carta School Relational Support Worker (RSW) is to lead on the delivery of east to west’s work in the school. The RSW delivers and facilitates Relational Support to young people referred to them through the school according to and through the east to west Outcomes Framework. Your overall goal is to enable young people to experience Hope “journeying with Children, Young People and Families through the issues that they are addressing in their lives.” You will work intensively with young people in 1:1 and Support Group settings and provide effective leadership to other team members and volunteers as appropriate when they engage in the school. Your measures of success will be agreed annually with the school and will focus on enabling young people to maximise their life chances through education, supporting young people through or providing coping mechanisms for the situations that they are encountering.
