As a solo artist or as the representative of the group, as applicable,
• I confirm that I and all of the participants included in this application are Canadian citizens and reside in New
Brunswick;
• I confirm that I am between the ages of 18 and 35 (born between January 1st 1982 and December 31st, 1998
inclusively) as well as all the artists included in this application (excluding the choir, accompanists and

I have carefully read the competition eligibility criteria listed in the guidelines and confirm that I, my group, each
of its members, and our performance meet the criteria;
I accept the conditions of the competitions described in the guidelines and I agree to respect all decisions
related to these competitions;
I am aware that the Department of Tourism, Heritage and Culture is subject to the Right to Information Act and
the Protection of Personal Information Act, as stated in the guidelines.
I am aware that my participation in the Games of the Francophonie may be compromised if the Comité
international des Jeux de la Francophonie decides to eliminate the cultural discipline in which I am registered to
compete.
If I am preselected or my group is preselected, as applicable, I understand that:
• a copy of my application will be sent to the Comité international des Jeux de la Francophonie in France;
• the personal information I provided in this application will be protected by European Union laws, once it is sent
to France.

Part 2 – Documents and support material
BRIEF DESCRIPTION (5-10 WORDS) OF THE PROPOSED PERFORMANCE:

1. Please provide, in separate documents, the following information and support material:
• An artistic statement (no more than 500 words) for the solo artist or group explaining the motivation for
entering this competition.
• If applicable, a list of the group members, their place of residence, their role (singer, choir member,
accompanist, technician), and their year of birth.
• A résumé of the solo artist or each member of the group.
• History of the group (if applicable).
• Press clippings or reviews (if applicable).
• A 15-minute video of a public performance.
• A detailed description (no more than 1,000 words) of the songs to be performed at the Games. If the proposed
songs have already been created, they must have been so after 20 July 2015.
• Permission from the author and/or composer if the solo artist or group will be performing lyrics and music
written by someone else.
2. Audiovisual guidelines :

Test your materials before submitting them to ensure their functionality. Applicants are responsible for ensuring that
their materials reach the Department intact and in suitable formats. Support material will not be returned.
Audiovisual specifications
File names must be in the following format: 01initialsyeartitle.jpg (applicant’s initials, year of the work, title of the
work). Do not use punctuation, spaces, more than 45 characters per file name or special characters in your file names.
Audiovisual files must be:
• viewable with VLC media player (for more information, consult www.videolan.org/vlc/);
• a maximum 60 FPS;
• a maximum resolution of 1080P (or frame size of 1920 x 1080);
• no larger than 4 GB.
Media must be:
• either DVD, CD or USB key (files must be organized in a single folder);
• NTSC-region 1 compliant (DVD video).
