Welcome to the Department of Florida AMVETS Service Foundation. We are a subordinate
organization of the Dept of FL AMVETS and exist solely for the purpose of serving Florida’s veterans.
We assist veterans with emergency hardship grants for those with immediate needs, scholarships,
VA claims, and more. If you are, or know of, a veteran in need, please contact one of the officers and
we’ll steer you in a direction where you can get the help needed.

VA Claims assistance.
If you are a veteran needing to apply for VA
benefits, the best place to start is your local VA
Office or veteran’s service center. Your local
AMVETS post will be able to find the one
closest to you. They will take your
information, assist you with the initial
paperwork, and forward it to an AMVETS VA
Service Officer. These service officers’
mission is to help you manage the paperwork
and to coordinate with the VA on your behalf.
They will help you know what information you’ll
need, where to get it, organize and submit your
paperwork, track your claim, keep you posted
along the way, and assist if an appeal is
