Please remind students to bring book bags and Home Reading Books to school every day signed.

Every child will bring a
book home each night.
Please support them to
read this to you. If you
have any questions you can
contact me or make a note
in the yellow Home
Reading Book.
Sight words will also be
coming home – these are in
a little foil bag. Read these
with your child to help
them learn them. Please
ensure they are kept in the
book bag so I can change
them and they can be
practised at school too.

Welcome to Room 1!
It is fantastic to welcome our new
students to Helensville Primary.
I am super excited to be starting the Year
0/1 class. Feel free to come in and chat
anytime.
Our topic this term is…
Fossils and Dinosaurs
We will be learning to be paleontologists this
week and hopefully we find some of our own
fossils.

Remember school will be
closed on Friday 30th May.
Please note that homework books need to come
back to school by Friday. In the Junior Team we
put an emphasis on our reading therefore this is a
homework requirement, alongside this is continuing
any HIPPY work. We understand that time at
home is often limited and other tasks that the
class teacher sets are optional.
