Location and Travel Information
Slippery Winds Wilderness Lodge is located
in a sheltered bay at the east end of Yoke Lake, a short
38 mile float plane hop north of Fort Frances, Ontario.

Excellent catch-and-release fishing for six species of sport fish on six separate lakes.
Angling for walleye, largemouth and smallmouth bass, northern pike, muskie and lake trout
Float plane transfers between Fort Frances, Ontario and the lodge.
Delicious meals prepared by our excellent cook and served in our comfortable lodge dining room by
our friendly, professional staff.
Your choice of complete shore lunch fixings or a box lunch.
Comfortable accommodations in private, fully-modern guest cabins. All cabins are equipped with
electric lights, propane or electric baseboard heat, comfortable beds with Hudson Bay blankets, refrig
erators and full 3-piece bathrooms with large shower stalls.
Comfortable 14’, 15’ or 16’ boats equipped with padded swivel seats, PFD’s, minnow buckets, fish

In order to confirm your reservation, deposits are due immediately upon booking your trip. The balance is due 90
days prior to the commencement of your trip. We accept corporate or personal cheques, and for the convenience of
our guests VISA and MasterCard for deposits and final payments.

Lake Descriptions
Bluff point Lake: This is a deep, clear water lake that provides excellent habitat for trout, largemouth bass and northern pike.
Crossroute Lake: This is a clear water lake with a variety of structure. The lake is home to a good population of largemouth bass,
northern pike and lake trout.
Straw Lake: Home to the Straw Lake gold mine in the 1930’s this lake is a shallow, stained lake with many weed beds. Straw Lake provides good fishing for walleye, smallmouth bass, largemouth bass and northern pike.
Sucan Lake: Accessible from Straw Lake via a wide creek, Sucan Lake is a shallow lake that is home to walleye, northern pike, smallmouth bass, largemouth bass and perch.
Sullivan Lake: This lake has traditionally been an excellent producer of large northern pike. Largemouth bass and lake trout also
inhabit the lake.
Yoke Lake: Slippery Winds Lodge is located in a bay at the east end of Yoke Lake. The lodge is on a peninsula that separates Yoke and
Straw Lakes. This is a clear water lake with deep holes, many shallow bays, points and mid-lake reefs providing excellent habitat for
largemouth & smallmouth bass, lake trout, northern pike, walleye and also world-class muskie.
Airline and Travel information
We have arranged special “outfitter’s airfares” with Delta Airlines which services International Falls via Minneapolis
with daily flights on Skywest Airlines. The special “outfitter’s airfares” have the following advantages: 1) no Saturday
night stay requirement, 2) Re-issues are permitted with a $100 change fee with 14 days notice. A 3-night minimum

Terms and Conditions
Cancellations and Refunds: Deposits are non-refundable. In the event of a last-minute no-show the guest will be financially responsible for the
payment of the trip price in full. No refunds will be made of full payments at any time.
All package prices are quoted basis specific air charters or commercial flights on scheduled dates. Any guests not travelling on the specified
flights as arranged by Slippery Winds Lodge will be financially responsible for the expense of any additional chartered or scheduled aircraft required to reach the lodge.
Anyone voluntarily choosing to arrive or depart on dates differing from those arranged by Slippery Winds Lodge will be financially responsible
for any additional costs incurred. No credit will be given for early departures unless arranged in advance.
Slippery Winds Lodge, which makes every effort to serve our guests assumes no responsibility or liability for any hazard of any type associated
with these trips. Neither is any obligation or responsibility assumed for any political, meteorological, climatic or other event, or for the services of
