newsletter theme 2 nursery.pub

Our next topic is ‘farm animals’.
In Personal, Social and Emotional
Development we will be thinking about
our 'Dreams and Goals'. We will talk
about how to keep trying even when
something is tricky.
In Communication and Language
Development we will talk about the
stories that we are learning and
explore new vocabulary. We will learn
some new songs about the Three
Little Pigs.
In Literacy we will learn the story of
‘The Very Busy Spider’ by Eric Carle,
and The Three Little Pigs’. We will
learn how to retell these stories off
by heart with actions to help us
remember. We will paint, draw and
talk about these stories to deepen
our understanding. We will focus on
pencil grip and ensure that we are
‘holding our pencils in our birds beak’.
If you are unsure about this then
please ask a member of the nursery
team.
In Mathematics we continue learning to
recognise numicon. We will focus on
touch counting using farm animals and
finding out how many are in a set.
In Understanding the World we will find
out about different habitats and what
the animals need to stay healthy.
We have also got our Science Family
Learning event on Wednesday 23rd
November where we will be exploring
rolling.
