Kilmaine Village Enhancement Tidy towns judging has commenced around the country and will continue
until the end of July. We thank you for your input to date please continue to keep outside your
premises/residence swept and litter free to ensure the village is looking its best for the report.

Mary Mc Donagh Celebrates her 100th Birthday
It's pretty impressive when someone gets to see his or her 100th birthday, and it's certainly deserving of a
very special celebration that is just what Mary Mc Donagh did. Mary nee Murphy was born on June 27 1915
in Ashford, Cong. She married her husband Patrick (Paddy) Mc Donagh and raised a family of three
daughters.
As family and friends arrived to help celebrate her birthday Mary reminisce her life experiences and happy
memories during her lifetime. Fr John Fallon PP Kilmaine who was also in attendance celebrated a special
Mass in Mary’s honour. Mary now resides in her daughter’s Patricia residence in Kilmaine where she enjoys
people visiting her for a chat and a cuppa. May your 100 th birthday bring more than all the joy, wisdom, hope
and love you’ve given away so freely during your life. Happy Birthday Mary.
Kilmaine GAA Club Lotto
There was no winner of the €20,000 club lotto jackpot held on Monday June 29 in Jack Murphy’s bar. The
numbers drawn were 04, 08, 12 and 17.
The Weekly Prize Winners were Tony Mullin, St Mary’s Road Shrule Gerry Burke, Ballyhenry Shrule and
Fergal Murphy, Cahermaculick Shrule. The House Prize Winner was Patsy Shaughnessy, Rathgranagher.
The Annual Prize Winners were David Higgins, Ballycushion Shrule and Bridge Signs, Ballinrobe. Kilmaine
