NEW MANAGEMENT STRUCTURE AND BOARD
For Immediate Release
Singapore, 26 May 2015 – LATAMCHAM announces a new management structure to further
strengthen decision making and execution of the LATAMCHAM objectives.
Key element of the structure is the Executive Office directed by the Executive Director reporting to
the Management Board. For the role Mrs Angela Torres-Andresen has been appointed. Mrs TorresAndresen is the founder of LATAMCHAM and had been acting as President since the resignation of Mr
Pablo Espinel last November.
A new Management Board of recognized individuals from the private sector who have excelled in their
professions and who have strong ties both in Singapore and Latin America have been elected. The
Management Board has eight members:
Eduardo Ramos-Gómez
Honorary President
Mexican.
Currently he is the Managing Partner of Duane Morris & Selvan LLP Asia Offices.
Mr. Ramos-Gómez formerly served as Mexico's Ambassador to Singapore, Brunei Darussalam and
Myanmar.
He is an advisory board member of the Singapore Management University School of Law, a member
of the Commission on Globalization World Forum, president of the U.S.-Mexico Chamber of
Commerce, vice chair of the Mexican Law Committee in the Section of International Law and Practice
for the American Bar Association and chapter chair of the International Division of International Law
and Practice Section of the New York State Bar Association. In 2014, he was the recipient of the Buen
Vecino Award from the United States-Mexico Chamber of Commerce.
Mario Buenrostro
Honorary Vice President
Mexican.
Global Director for the SME sector in Citibank Asia and formerly based in Mexico (Banamex).
Mr Buenrostro shares a passion and great understanding for the SME universe. Besides working in the
financial sector he also worked at Cerveceria Modelo as CFO in the retail division.
Former President of MIT Alumni Association Mexico.
Rodrigo Felippe Afonso

Brazilian
Previously Managing Director of BB Securities Asia a subsidiary of Banco do Brasil Group.
Mr Afonso has been working the in financial industry since 1992 leading and taking the responsibilities
of opening new business for Banco do Brasil abroad. He established BB Securities Asia in Singapore.
Angela Restrepo
Honorary Secretary
Colombian-American
While living in America Mrs Restrepo was the owner and director of American base technology
company Digycom USA. Later, while living in Europe she form part of the board of directors for the
Colombian-Norwegian Chamber of Commerce. Currently she is the owner and CEO of Colemar Pte.
Ltd (Singapore) and Colemar Trading SAS (Colombia), a firm dedicated to trade exclusive gems from
Colombia to the world.
Jose Carlos Reis
Honorary Assistant Treasurer*
Brazilian-Portuguese.
Executive Director, Head of Institutional Sales at BB Securities Asia a subsidiary of Banco do Brasil
Group. Mr Reis has a Bachelor degree in Applied Mathematics from the University of Coimbra
(Portugal) and attended the YMP Executive Program at INSEAD (France). He has been working in the
financial sector for more than 10 years advising institutional investors in Latin America, Europe and
Asia about investments in fixed income, equities, structured products, mutual funds and hedge funds.
Gabriela Ruiz Limon
Assistant Honorary Secretary*
Mexican.
Mrs Ruiz-Limon has been living in Singapore for the last 2 years. Before moving to Singapore she
worked in business support functions. She is currently Sales Representative of a Mexican Brand
Rudesina Vega.
Rodrigo Martinez
Management Board Member*
Chilean.
Mr Martinez is a Chilean internet pioneer and serial entrepreneur that founded and successfully sold
two tech startups: STI Internet, Brazil's 4th largest ISP and hpG, the world's largest free web hosting
service in the Portuguese language without a single dollar from investors.
In Brazil, Rodrigo was honored with iBest's TOP3 New Entrepreneur and TOP3 Internet Entrepreneur
awards. A highly sought after mentor, speaker, judge and strategic advisor across the different startup
ecosystems in Southeast Asia and beyond, he is passionate about fostering entrepreneurial success.
He is a natural pattern finder, problem solver and self-made autodidact with a PASSION FOR SUCCESS
that's obsessed with obtaining the MAXIMUM results with the MINIMUM investment in time and
money.
Aydin Ilhan

Founder & CEO SunCaged Analytics
Aydin’s 15-year career in the banking industry has spanned stints in Corporate and Retail Banking,
Portfolio Management, Credit Risk Management and Business Consulting. An economist by training,
he is a specialist in applying analytics and market intelligence to business. Since 2012, he has focused
on developing business in Southeast Asia.
Singapore’s aspirations to become a global hub for big data, business analytics and solid business
infrastructure led Aydin to start SunCaged Analytics in May 2013. A strong advocate of using datadriven insights to drive business decisions, he currently consults with local businesses and MNCs based
on data analytics techniques. Aydin is also the lead consultant in Asia for Bayes Forecast, a global
consulting firm.
As a contributor to the innovation ecosystem, Aydin is a Mentor for the Kairos Society in ASEAN, a
non-profit organisation dedicated to mentoring and empowering young entrepreneurs around the
world. He is also a co-host of the Singaporean chapter of Global Pioneers, one of the most prominent
technology and innovation communities in the world.
He lives in Singapore with his wife and daughter.
Additionally to the Management Board a new positon of Legal Adviser has been complemented. Mr
Chandra Mohan Nair has been appointed as Honorary Legal Adviser*. Mr Mohan is partner at Tan
Rajan & Cheah. He has served in numerous boards and as public servant. His expertise will help
LatAmCham to navigate the Singapore system and learn from his experience leading associations.
Mr Mohan has served as President, The Law Society of Singapore (1995 to 1997), Vice-President of
the Singapore Academy of Law, Member of the Board of Legal Education, Mediator at the Singapore
Mediation Centre, Chairman of the International Relations Committee at The Law Society of Singapore
(1998 to 2007), Nominated Member of Parliament of Singapore (2002 to 2004), President of the
National University of Singapore Society (NUSS) (2005 to 2008), Management Committee member of
NUSS from 1980s to present, Member, Board of Trustees of the National University of Singapore (2000
to 2011), Member, Board of Governors of Duke-NUS Graduate Medical School, Member , Board of
Governors of NUS High School of Maths and Science and various criminal law committees of Ministry
of Home Affairs, among others.
The Advisory Board of LATAMCHAM remains unchanged. The Advisory Board consists of Ambassadors
of the countries of Latin America with presence in the region and Singapore to Latin American
countries; and representatives of government agencies. They provide valuable guidance to the
Management Board to set the strategies of LatAmCham in order to achieve its mission and objectives.
*Roles created after amending the current Constitution of LatAmCham, previous acceptance of the
Registry of Societies.
