Overview
EPOCH Integrated Product Suite Version 4™ is the latest product line upgrade for EPOCH T&C® Server™
and EPOCH Client™ products. EPOCH IPS Version 4 preserves all the functionality of earlier EPOCH IPS
versions, while adding a whole host of new features. The EPOCH V4 Client delivers a suite of native Windows
applications for telemetry visualization and commanding. Designed with a consistent and familiar look
and feel, EPOCH Client V4 offers all the advantages found in “drag and drop” Windows-based applications.
EPOCH V4 Client provides users with access to historical data, while plotting in real-time, if desired (e.g., you
want to look at data for the last several hours due to a recent anomaly and to continue to watch conditions
in real-time). EPOCH’s multi threaded design also allows any EPOCH Client to receive data simultaneously
from multiple EPOCH T&C servers at any site over CFE WAN links. The EPOCH V4 Client can natively interface
to a variety of third-party Windows applications, including those typically used by your engineering staff,
so that users can readily extend the system and automate aspects of their operation using familiar tools.
Using EPOCH Client Version 4’s scripting capability permits easy integration with any Visual Basic for
Applications (VBA) or Visual Basis Script (VBSCRIPT) compatible software application providing a wealth
of third-party applications support for the operations environment. Applications such as Microsoft Office
Suite can be used for depicting real-time data and report creation, scheduling, and distribution. Automated,
professional looking reports can be produced in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. Scheduling
and e-mail distribution is accomplished using Microsoft Outlook, which brings these powerful office
tools to the operations center. The scripting capability also allows for extensive flexibility and hands-off
automation making it ideal for routing data sets to third-party software packages for automated analysis. A
comprehensive CORBA (Common Object Brokered Architecture) API (Applications Programming Interface)
is new in EPOCH Version 4. This API offers the industry’s most complete interface into a command and control
system allowing complex, mission-unique system extensions to be developed without compromising the
integrity of the core system.

EPOCH Version 4 is used by satellite operators to control single satellites, fleets of satellites, and ground
system equipment. With built-in automation and fleet management capabilities, EPOCH Version 4 is
ideal for operating large fleets of satellites with minimal operations staff. EPOCH Version 4 contains all
the features you would expect from a satellite control system, plus features not provided by any other
