Yankee Pitching Coach Elvys Quezada
A New York City native is a former member of B’s
Baseball Academy. After his tenure there, he attended
Seton Hall University where he was drafted twice and
signed with the NY Yankees in 2003. He spent 7 years in
professional baseball before becoming the Pitching Coach at
Manhattan College. Currently, Elvys is a Minor League
pitching coach in the Yankee system.
Date: Saturdays February
27, 2016 to April 30 2016.

What to bring:
- Players should wear proper baseball
attire. Be prepared for outside and
indoor play. (baseball pants, sweats and
hat) for sliding and long distance play.
- Players will need glove, bat, sneakers
or turf shoes for indoor training and
outdoor cleats.
-Catchers need to bring their own
catcher’s equipment.
What to expect:
-Pitchers should expect to be instructed
on delivery, long toss program, mound
presence and defense.
-Position players should expect position
specific and hitting drill work.
Frank Chiou: Recently named the Second youngest partner of
William Blaire. He was one of the founding members of the
baseball academy. Went to Duke on a full scholarship. Was
captain of team during his senior year. Played with the US allstar baseball team representing America. Alex Rodriquez
played to his right.
Dave Custons: He played at various division one colleges as a
catcher. Home grown Westchester native. Currently working
as a physical Therapist.
Christian Jung, collected more than a million dollars from
various schools in scholarships from various schools. He
graduated from Fairfield and has been running a baseball
academy in Cleveland area.
Brian Parish, He currently runs the baseball academy in
Atlanta. He got drafted and pitched for the St. Louis Cardinals.
His first no hitter was in rick yard stadium which is the oldest
totally wood baseball facility in the United States.
Hector Henriquez: Hector was drafted and climbed
to AA, minor Leaguer. He has lightning fast hands and is an
excellent teacher.
Sara Nevins: Named to the USA Softball Women's
National Team for the second straight year... One of 17 athletes
to earn a spot on the team.
Jost Nickelsberg: co-founder and chairman. Jost has won as
coach over 1000 games for the baseball academy. The sixteen
year old team won the national championship one time and the
eighteen year old team got third place three times in the
nationals. Jost has spent thousands of hours scouting with
Frank Bartolotta. He spent years scouting prior to becoming
part of the baseball academy as senior teacher. It’s been a busy
time since the beginning, traveling over 2 million miles
including two trips to Europe. This is my volunteer effort that I
had to fit in behind my day job. We were able to get a group of
volunteers together due to the interest of the children.
