MAIDSTONE CIVIC PARADE - SATURDAY 20 MAY 2017 Maidstone High Street and Mill Street will be closed between 1130 and 1210 hours for the annual Civic Parade to take place and it will not be possible to serve the main town centre bus stops during this period. In addition, the area around County Hall and Maidstone East Station will be closed between 1030 and 1125 hours, during which time buses will be unable to serve the East Station and Station Road/St. Faith’s Street bus stops. These arrangements will affect the following buses and we apologise for any inconvenience caused by these road closures which are totally beyond our control. Service 3 Maidstone Town Centre – Tonbridge Road – Maidstone Hospital The 1127, 1147 and 1207 hours buses from the Bus Station to Maidstone Hospital will run via King Street, Wat Tyler Way, Knightrider Street and Bishops Way to Maidstone West Station. The 1120 and 1140 hours buses from Maidstone Hospital will run as normal to Maidstone West Station and then via Bishops Way and Palace Avenue to the Bus Station. Service 4 Maidstone Town Centre – Armstrong Road – Shepway - Downswood The 1150 hours bus from Royal Star Arcade to Downswood will start from the Bus Station at its normal time. The 1120 hours bus from Downswood to Royal Star Arcade will run via Palace Avenue and Wat Tyler Way to the Bus Station instead of serving Mill Street and the High Street. Service 5 Maidstone – Staplehurst – Cranbrook – Hawkhurst - Sandhurst The 1044 hours bus from Sandhurst to Maidstone will run via Palace Avenue and Wat Tyler Way to the Bus Station instead of serving Mill Street and the High Street. Service 7 Maidstone – Wateringbury – Hadlow – Tonbridge – Tunbridge Wells The 1137, 1157 and 1217 hours buses from Maidstone to Tunbridge Wells will run via King Street, Wat Tyler Way, Knightrider Street and Bishops Way to Maidstone West Station. The 1010, 1030 and 1050 hours buses from Tunbridge Wells to Maidstone will run as normal to Maidstone West Station and then via Bishops Way and Palace Avenue to the Bus Station. Service 12 Maidstone – Sutton Valence – Headcorn – Biddenden – Tenterden The 1025 hours bus from Tenterden to Maidstone will run via Palace Avenue and Wat Tyler Way to the Bus Station instead of serving Mill Street and the High Street. Service 13 Maidstone – Langley – Leeds – Hollingbourne The 1127 hours bus from Hollingbourne to Maidstone will run via Palace Avenue and Wat Tyler Way to the Bus Station instead of serving Mill Street and the High Street. Service 58 Maidstone – Maidstone Hospital – Larkfield – East and West Malling – Ryarsh – Addington – Trottiscliffe The 1033 hours bus from Addington and Trottiscliffe to Maidstone will run as normal to Maidstone West Station and will then run via Bishops Way, Palace Avenue and Wat Tyler Way to the Bus Station. The 1123 hours bus from Maidstone to Trottiscliffe will run from the Bus Station via King Street. Wat Tyler Way, Knightrider Street and Bishops Way to Maidstone West Station. Service 71 Maidstone – London Road – Allington – Larkfield – Lunsford Park – Snodland/Leybourne Park The buses at 1130 hours to Snodland, 1140 hours to Leybourne Park, 1200 hours to Snodland and1210 hours to Leybourne Park will run from the Bus Station via King Street, Wat Tyler Way, Knightrider Street and Bishops Way to Maidstone West Station. The buses at 1031 and 1101 hours from Snodland and at 1055 and 1125 hours from Leybourne Park will run from Maidstone West Station via Bishops Way and Palace Avenue to the Bus Station. Service 72 Maidstone – London Road – Allington – Larkfield – West Malling – Kings Hill The 1120 and 1150 hours buses from Maidstone to Kings Hill will run from the Bus Station via King Street, Wat Tyler Way, Knightrider Street and Bishops Way to Maidstone West Station. The 1050 and 1120 hours buses from Kings Hill will run from Maidstone Bridge via Bishops Way and Palace Avenue to the Bus Station. Service 79 Maidstone – Boxley Road – Penenden Heath The 1017, 1047 and 1117 hours buses from Maidstone to Penenden Heath will be unable to serve the Brenchley Gardens and East Station stops and will instead run from Earl Street direct via Fairmeadow to the White Rabbit Roundabout. Customers who normally use these stops should instead use the bus stop outside Clarkes Furniture Store in Staceys Street. The 1134 hours bus from Penenden Heath to King Street will run to the Bus Station instead of to King Street. The 1147 hours bus from King Street to Penenden Heath will start instead from the Bus Station (Stop J6 – at the bottom of the ramp down from King Street) and will then run via Romney Place, Knightrider Street, Bishops Way and Fairmeadow to St Faiths Street. During this diversion the King Street (Boots), Pudding Lane and Earl Street bus stops will not be served. Service 82 Maidstone – Sutton Road – Sutton Woods – Park Wood The 1123, 1133, 1143. 1153, 1203, 1213 and 1223 hours buses from Royal Star Arcade to Park Wood will start instead from the Bus Station at their normal times. The 1049, 1059, 1109, 1119, 1129, 1139 and 1149 hours buses from Park Wood will run via Palace Avenue and Wat Tyler Way to the Bus Station and will be unable to serve Mill Street or the High Street. Service 89 Maidstone – Loose Road – Loose – Coxheath The 1131, 1151 and 1211 hours buses from Maidstone to Coxheath will start from the Bus Station at their normal times instead of from King Street. The 1100, 1120 and 1140 hours buses from Coxheath to Maidstone King Street will run via Palace Avenue, Wat Tyler Way and King Street to the Bus Station and will be unable to serve Mill Street or the High Street. Sapphire Service 101 Maidstone – Chatham – Gillingham The following buses will be unable to serve the East Station or Museum bus stops and will be subject to diversions as shown: The 0953, 1005, 1017 and 1029 hours buses from Gillingham will run from the White Rabbit Roundabout to the Cannon direct via Fairmeadow. The 1041, 1053, 1105 and 1117 hours buses from Gillingham will run as normal to the White Rabbit Roundabout and then via Fairmeadow and St Faith’s Street to terminate at the Brenchley Gardens bus stop. The Maidstone East Station and High Street bus stops will not be served. The 1012, 1024, 1036, 1048, 1100, 1112 and 1124 hours buses from Maidstone to Gillingham will be unable to serve the Brenchley Gardens and East Station bus stops but will instead run direct via Fairmeadow to the Kent History and Library Centre, from where they will depart at their normal times. The 1136, 1148, 1200 and 1212 hours buses from Maidstone to Gillingham will start from Brenchley Gardens at the normal time and will be unable to serve Pudding Lane or Earl Street. Service 155 Maidstone – Aylesford – Eccles – Burham – Wouldham – Borstal – Rochester – Chatham The 0933 hours bus from Chatham will be unable to serve the Maidstone East Station and Museum bus stops and will run instead from the White Rabbit Roundabout to the Cannon direct via Fairmeadow. The 1033 hours bus from Chatham will run as normal to Fairmeadow and then via Bishops Way, Palace Avenue and Wat Tyler Way to the Bus Station. This bus will be unable to serve the High Street (Cannon) bus stop The 1112 hours bus from Maidstone to Chatham will be unable to serve the Brenchley Gardens and Maidstone East Station bus stops but will instead run direct via Fairmeadow to the Kent History and Library Centre, from where it will depart at its normal time. Park & Ride Service 501 Willington Street The 1129 and 1149 hours buses from Maidstone High Street to Willington Street will be unable to serve the Cannon and King Street stops but will instead run via Bishops Way, Palace Avenue and through the Bus Station to use the old bowling alley stop (K2) in King Street. The 1130 and 1150 hours buses from Willington Street to the town centre will run into the Bus Station and will be unable to serve the King Street, Royal Star and Cannon bus stops. Park & Ride Service 503 London Road The 1136 and 1156 hours buses from King Street to London Road will pick up in the Bus Station (Stop J6 at the bottom of the ramp down from King Street) instead of at King Street and will then run via Knightrider Street and Bishops Way to Maidstone West Station. This bus will be unable to serve the King Street (Boots), Royal Star Arcade and Cannon bus stops. The 1120 and 1140 hours buses from London Road to the town centre will be unable to serve the Cannon and King Street bus stops and will instead run via Bishops Way and through the Bus Station to use the old bowling alley stop (K2) in King Street.
