A Readers’ Theater Play!
Objective: ...present
dramatic interpretations of
experiences, stories
Fox:
Momma, I don't have anything to do.
Mom:
What do you think is making you blue?
Fox:
I need a friend to play with me.
Mom:
You're right, Little Fox, you could even use three.
Fox:
I have a net. I can catch me one.
Mom:
One in a net would not be much fun!
Fox:
Then how do I get a friend who will play?
Mom:
You have to make friends! Get started today.
Fox:
I'll go make me a friend. I'll see you soon.
Mom:
Be back before you can see the full moon.
Voice 1: So little fox started gathering things
Voice 2: Like sticks and an apple, some nuts, and more string.
Voice 1: He put them together and stood back to chat.
Voice 2: But his new little friend would do none of that.
All:
Poor Little Fox.
Voice 1: Would he make friends that way?
Voice 2: Maybe a rabbit would have something to say.
Fox:
Rabbit, can you help me make a friend that is bigger?
Rabbit:
Do you think one made from a turnip would have
some more vigor?
Voice 1: If you'd like to find out if Fox finds a friend,
Voice 2: Read Fox Makes Friends from beginning to end!
