the mattress support rails, taking particular care that the end slats are placed as near to the
ends as possible.
Use the 68x screws to fix all mattress base slats onto the mattress support rails below.
Some initial pressure will be required for screws to ‘bite’. Please note: For safety reasons the
Top Mattress Base must have every slat screwed down.
Attach the 4x battens to the inside faces of both Ends using 16x Bolts (45mm). Also, simply
push the 4x Feet to the holes on the underside edges of the Ends as shown below.

Gentle pressure applied to the centre of the mattress rails, either side,
will help to maintain a uniform width along the length of the bed.(see arrows)

7. Construct the Ladder.
You need: 6x Bolts (35mm) and an Allen key
Note: The Ladder must be constructed to suit the Left or Right hand end of the bed. (Left or
Right hand end Ladder orientation shown below). Fit each Tread onto the Ladder legs by
locating the sides of the Treads into the notches on the leg. Ensure the Treads are attached in
the right orientation (as below).
Once Treads are in the correct position secure them to the leg using the 6x Bolts (35mm).
3. Attach one End to the Back Mattress Rails.
You need: 1x Bracket, 1x Bracket Cover, 8x Bolts (16mm), 8x Euro Screws (16mm).
Prepare the Ends by fitting 8x Bolts into the holes on the left and right hand sides, ensure the
bolts are only screwed in half way.
Lay the Upper and Lower Back Mattress Rails on a soft level floor, with the holes and prefitted brackets facing upwards. Using 3x Euro Screws (16mm), fit 1x Bracket to the larger
Upper Mattress Rail (Fig 3.0), then With a minimum of two people carefully lift 1x End and
fit the large key shaped holes in the pre-fitted brackets over the heads of the Bolts in the End
and slide the brackets downwards to fully engage (Fig 3.1). Once both upper and lower Rails
are in position and the brackets are engaged, tighten the Bolts to secure.

Screw the 3x Cam Pins into the holes on the on the top edge of the Upper Front rail.
Once Cam pins are in position carefully lower the Front Guard Rail onto the heads of the Cam
Pins and into the corresponding holes on the underside edge ensuring that the 3 large holes
on the inside face of the rail point inwards (as shown below).
