Each item in the Silent Auction will have a bid sheet with it. If you wish to bid on the item, you may do so by writing your bid number and the amount of the bid following the proper bid increment(s) noted on the sheet. 2. Silent bidding will be open from 5:00 p.m. to 8:15 p.m. Bidding will close on a staggered basis. The order will be at the discretion of the Parents Association. Absolutely no bids will be accepted following the announcement of the closing of the silent auction table(s). A list of successful bidders will be posted at 10:15 p.m. and checkout is available until 11:30 p.m. 3. All items and gift certificates must be paid for and removed from the premises on the night of the auction. The only exception will be for items to be shipped at the winner’s request. Shipping arrangements, costs and insurance are the responsibility of the winner. Cash, checks, Mastercard and Visa will be accepted for payment. 4. Neither the auction volunteers nor the donors make any warranties with respect to the items sold, nor are responsible, nor liable in the sale of these items. 5. Bidding on any item(s) indicates your acceptance of these terms. A list of successful bidders will be posted at 10:15 p.m. 6. The Auction Chair reserves the right to remove from bidding any item(s) not receiving its minimum bid. 7. Checkout will be handled by the Business and Development Offices. As a student at Avon Old Farms, Brian excelled in athletics and as a community leader. He was captain of the 1986 hockey team that achieved an undefeated regular season. During his senior year he collected 92 points for the hockey team, and is currently the leading scorer in Avon Old Farms history with 169 points (in just two seasons!). After his time at Avon Old Farms, Brian Leetch enjoyed a distinguished career in hockey at every level. He attended Boston College, and was a Hobey Baker Award nominee as a freshman. Brian next played for the USA Olympic team, and soon after to the National Hockey League. Leetch played on three United States Olympic teams (1988, 1998, 2002), and led the team to a silver medal in 2002. He served as team captain of the 1988 and 2002 teams. In his professional career, he has earned the Norris Trophy twice, (1992, 1997), which honors the NHL’s best defenseman. He also was awarded the Conn Smythe Trophy in 1994 for being the most valuable player in the NHL playoffs when he led the New York Rangers to a Stanley Cup championship. Leetch has played in 11 NHL All-Star games, and is the second leading scorer in Ranger history with 981 points. After 17 seasons with the New York Rangers, Brian Leetch was traded to the Toronto Maple Leafs in March of 2004. Leetch's number 2 was retired by the Rangers on January 24, 2008.
