Colorado Parks and Wildlife Point of Sale Solution for IPAWS Definitions POS (Point of Sale) System A PC based hardware and software system that supports the customer management and license sales of CPW products. These POS systems will be deployed to all license agents at both retail outlets and CPW office locations statewide. The POS system’s network interface will connect to a site’s local network and utilize the site’s internet access to connect to AWO. The POS system makes available two URL web link references to the AWO platform which is accessible via the site’s internet connection. Issuer Manager – Runs on AWO platform and provides Hunting and Fishing functionality and customer sales processing. Field Manager - Runs on AWO platform and provides Campgrounds functionality and customer sales processing. The POS system will not utilize Active Network’s CSM/Terminal Administration application. The attached POS Peripheral Equipment, as described below, manages the physical media related to customer management and product sales. This would include functions such as scanning a driver’s license and printing a license or receipt. A picture of Active’s POS system and rough physical “footprint” estimates are shown below. Active Networks will also ensure each license agent has the appropriate paper and other supplies, described as “agent consumables” in other project documentation. POS Peripheral Equipment Provided by Active Networks and attached to the PC base units. This equipment includes: Keyboard and mouse, Cash Drawer, Driver’s License reader, barcode scanner, license stock printer, receipt printer equipment devices. POS System Configuration Active Network’s POS System Solution A complete turnkey hardware & software solution as defined in the definition section. The POS system uses Windows 10 Enterprise operating system that will allow the operation of both the Issuer Manager and Field Manager applications and its process functions with the attached (POS) peripheral equipment. The POS system is completely owned and managed by Active Networks. CPW is only responsible for the site’s network connectivity, building power and supporting infrastructure.
