How to get to the INRA Centre of Versailles
1. By plane or by train
The INRA Centre of Versailles is about 15 km South West of Paris. The two closest train
stations are in Saint Cyr-L'Ecole and Versailles.
From Charles de Gaulle airport
- Take the RER B (direction "Massy Palaiseau/Saint-Rémy lès-Chevreuse") and get off at
"Saint-Michel/Notre-Dame" station.
- From "Saint-Michel/Notre-Dame" station, see below.
From ORLY airport
- Take the Bus "Cars Air France" to Paris Montparnasse railway station.
- From Paris Montparnasse see below.
From Paris Montparnasse railway station (downtown Paris)
- Take a train heading for Plaisir or Rambouillet. You should verify that the train does
stop at Saint-Cyr-L'Ecole station (a few trains headed for Rambouillet do not stop at
Saint Cyr). From Saint-Cyr station, see below.
From "St Michel/Notre-Dame" RER C Station
Two possibilities:
- Take the RER C (direction Saint Quentin en Yvelines, line C7) stop at Saint-Cyr-L'Ecole.
From Saint-Cyr station see below.
- Take the RER C (direction Versailles Rive Gauche, line C5) stop at Versailles-RiveGauche (last stop). From Versailles-Rive-Gauche station, see below.
From Gare du Nord or Gare de l’Est
- Take the metro direction Porte d’Orléans and connect to RER C at the "SaintMichel/Notre Dame" station or stop at Montparnasse Bienvenüe to take the train in
Montparnasse station.
From Saint-Cyr-L'Ecole station
The INRA Institute is at 10-15 min walking distance from Saint-Cyr l’Ecole station. Walk
downhill on your right at the exit of the station, and reach the main road Nationale 10
(through the parking lot), where you turn right in the direction of Versailles. The INRA
institute is located on your left at the second traffic light (from the parking lot) about
one kilometer from the train station. From the train station it is also possible to take the
bus P but only at peak hours.
From Versailles Rive Gauche station
Take a bus across the street, line 10, 11, 401, 4401 or P.
NOTE: Please be aware that the bus line P runs only at peak hours, check timetables!

From Charles de Gaulle airport
- Direction Paris/Porte de la Chapelle by the A1 motorway
- Take the external ringroad direction Rouen then A13 direction Rouen
- Follow Exit number 6 Saint Germain/Versailles then go to Versailles by N186
- At Place de la Loi, take the right direction Versailles-Château
- Then go around Place d’Armes and keep going on D10 direction St Cyr.
From ORLY airport
- Direction Villejuif by the A13 motorway
- Then direction Versailles by the A86 motorway
- Join N12 and take the exit Versailles-Château
- Take D91 and then, on the left D10 and keep going

Line P connects the INRA centre to 2 train stations within Versailles (Versailles Chantiers and Versailles Rive Gauche) and Saint-Cyr
l’Ecole train station. 1 ticket 2.00 € (you can buy the ticket on the bus to the driver, cash only). Please be aware that the bus line P
runs only at peak hours, check timetables!

Four other bus lines connect Versailles (Versailles-Rive-Gauche train station), INRA and Saint-Cyr-l’Ecole (no stop at the train station):
