Band, Choir, Show Choir St. Louis Competition Trip 2017 MJCA Student Behavior Contract We desire for you to have a fun and memorable trip, so we have established some guidelines to insure that takes place. 1) In order to participate in the Competition trip, all participating students…… Must be enrolled in choir, show choir or band for the entire 2016-2017 school year Must have a grade of a “C” or higher in all classes* for all three quarters prior to the trip Must demonstrate exemplary behavior—They may not receive more than one detention per quarter and no suspensions. If for any reason this criteria is not met, the student will not be allowed to participate in the competition trip and no refund will be given 2) Your behavior will reflect the name of the school. Since many have worked very hard to establish a positive reputation, any behavior that would be deemed negative will be dealt with severely. 3) We are adamant in stating that any defiance to the adult chaperones will result in serious consequences. Major violations may result in expulsion. 4) All school policies for dress and behavior, as stated in the student handbook, will be observed. These include, but are not limited to, guidelines regarding tobacco, alcohol, chemical substances (legal or illegal), shoplifting and promiscuity. 5) Under no circumstances should a male be in a female’s room and vice versa, unless an adult chaperone is present and the door remains open. 6) You will be accountable for your presence at all times. Do not wander off or leave the group without a chaperone. High school students must remain in groups of 4. 7) Another aspect of behavior includes your treatment of fellow classmates and those with whom you come into contact. Degrading language or actions toward others will not be tolerated. Please understand that we don’t expect anyone to behave inappropriately. However, this is a necessary measure for preventing any unwanted activity. Please read over these requirements, and the attached Rules and Conduct for Dress, refer to the Student Handbook for violations and sign below if you are willing to adhere to these requirements. Along with your signature, a parent or guardian signature must accompany this form. * Mrs. Davis & Miss Overstreet may decide in matters regarding grades determining participation. We look forward to a positive and memorable experience.
