Grade Point Average /
Class Rank
All Saints Academy operates
on a two-semester calendar
year. Each semester concludes
with a semester examination
constituting not more than 20%
of the semester grade.
A cumulative grade point average
is calculated for each student
and reflects grades earned at
ASA as well as credits transferred
from other secondary schools
accredited by educational
organizations based in the United
States. In addition, high school
credits earned during middle
school are included
in the cumulative grade point
average. Credits earned by
students who attend accredited
schools abroad not following an
American-style curriculum will
be used to determine credits for
graduation, but those credits will
not be included in grade point
average calculations.
All Saints Academy does not
report class rank due to the
academic nature of the school,
the size of each class, and the
interest in reducing unhealthy
competition among students.
When requested, All Saints
will release decile or quintile
rankings. Because of All Saints’
selective admission policy and its
demanding college preparatory
curriculum, the specific ranking
of students requires making
distinctions based on too fine
a margin. The students are
compared by the strength of
their academic load as well as
their performance.

Lyceum Merit Studies
The Lyceum Merit Studies
Program complements All
Saints Academy’s core college
preparatory curriculum by
offering academically gifted
students opportunities to analyze
and synthesize subjects with
greater depth and breadth.
The pace of Lyceum courses is
accelerated to stimulate higherlevel thinking skills and develop
the intellectual, social, emotional,
and aesthetic potentials of
students. While specific
benchmarks vary by the unique
demands of individual academic
disciplines, all Lyceum courses are
taught with AP-level benchmarks
as a goal. If a student completes
a minimum of 16 courses
with “Lyceum” and/or “AP”
designation prior to graduation,
maintains a minimum GPA of 3.5,
and completes and presents
an approved field project, the
student is recognized as a
Lyceum Scholar.
Changes to Statement of Disclosure
Beginning with incidences occurring in the 2015-2016 school year, colleges will receive from
All Saints Academy a report on: disciplinary matters for which consequences were given; arrests,
convictions, or other legal matters; and/or circumstances under which a student withdrew from
school. ASA also strongly encourages students and parents to fulfill their personal obligation to
report disciplinary matters during and after the college application process.
