Men’s Club
Championship
The Men’s Club Championship starts on Saturday, June 3rd. This is a pre-flighted Match Play
Event. The Championship Flight will play from
the Blue Tees with the remainder of the field
playing the white or green tees. Here are the
specifics...
ELIGIBILITY
You must keep your handicap at Christmas Lake Golf Course and play the majority of your golf at Christmas Lake. Those
who play most of their golf at Christmas
Lake and do not have a handicap may play
to a scratch and compete in the Championship Flight.
ENTRY FEE
The entry fee is $30.00 per player.
Non Members may use 30 round coupons
or pay a discounted $25 cart and guest fee
per round.
FLIGHTING
After all entries come in, we will flight the
event based on handicap. The number of
flights depends on the number of players
entered and the handicap breakdown.
ELIMINATION
This is a single elimination event.
PAIRINGS
Players will be seeded by USGA Handicap
Index. There will be a bracket of 16 or 8 in
the Championship Flight depending on the
number entered.
RULES OF PLAY
Ladies Evening
Out
On Tuesday, June 20, we will have our
monthly Ladies Evening at the Course. We
invite local ladies to come out and participate
in one of 5 options...1. Play 3 holes ($5), 2.
Play 6 holes ($10), 3. Play 9 holes ($15), 4.
45 minute Group Golf Clinic ($5), 5. No golf at
all...just food and beverage. We will use these
discounted rates for our Ladies Evenings all
summer.
We will have the 19th Hole Grill Open for
Food & Drink Specials. Come see what the
golf thing is all about or just come for an enjoyable night out with the other ladies from the
area.
The Back 9 will be for the ladies starting at
4:30 pm. Our staff will pair up the ladies heading out on the course. Invite a friend. It’s a
great time to play at your pace with no pressure and get a bite and beverage after golf.

The Golf Shop may close early on days
with weather conditions causing
course closures.

We will play USGA Rules of play with a
local rules sheet being supplied prior to
play.
WINNERS
Winners in each flight will receive an
award and their name on the permanent
plaque. Runners up in each flight will also
receive golf shop certificate prizes. We
may also pay more places depending on
the number of entries.

GENE SIMPSON NET MATCH PLAY
EVENT STARTS IN JUNE...
FORMAT: Individual Net Match Play (scorecards dotted). This is a double elimination event. You pick your tees by blind announcement
prior to each match (choices Blue, White, Green). Handicaps will be adjusted through USGA Tee adjustment for players competing from
different sets of tees. The player playing from the shorter set of tees will deduct the course rating difference from his current handicap.
The difference in handicap will be used after adjustment. The following adjustments will apply (see Tom with questions):

All Male Players with a current handicap kept at Christmas Lake. Only players with Christmas Lake handicaps are eligible.
ENTRY FEE: The entry fee will be $30 per player and will be paid back 100% in Golf Shop merchandise credit. Non Members will pay the
Twilight Rate no matter what time of day the match is played for cart/green fee.
DESCRIPTION: This event will start on Monday, June 19th. You will have 2 weeks to complete your first round match and 2 weeks to
complete each match thereafter. We will let the computer random draw for match play pairings. The original bracket will be posted on
Sunday, June 19th. It is your responsibility to arrange each match with your opponent. The last day of the play period will always be Sunday. Matches not started before 3 P.M. on the last day of the play period will be decided by the toss of a coin by the Golf Shop staff. Players must play together to constitute a match (No matching of cards). We will use the CURRENT handicaps for each match (handicaps may
change from match to match). Playoffs will be sudden death from hole #1 unless tee times dictate a different starting hole.
DEADLINE: The entry deadline is Saturday, June 17th at 6 PM. Pairings will be posted on Sunday, June 18th.
FYI...
POOL RULES AT CHRISTMAS LAKE GOLF COURSE
Christmas Lake is a “swim at your own risk” pool. There is NO LIFEGUARD on
duty at any time.
MEMBERS:
You must be a pool member, a golf member, or a guest of one of the previous to swim at
CLGC. Pool Memberships can be purchased in the 19th Hole (Single-$40, Family-$100).
GUESTS:
ALL Guests are required to pay a $4/person daily swimming fee. Only guests of current
pool members are allowed to swim at CLGC. A Member may have up to 4 guests at one
time at the pool. Members are responsible for the behavior of their guests at all times. A
non-member may be a guest up to 4 times in a season. Any guest having not paid the daily
fee or not a guest of a member will be asked to leave the pool area.
CHILDREN:
Children under the age of 14 and any non-swimmers must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
GROUNDS:
Please help us by reporting any unsafe ground conditions in the pool or restroom areas.
Report these problems to the staff in the 19th Hole or Pro Shop.
ENTRY GATE:
Do not prop the entry gate open at any time.
WEATHER:
Weather conditions may dictate alternate pool hours and closings.
TODDLER POOL:
The toddler pool is for children Four years of age and under. A swim diaper is recommended. CLGC does not permit those who operate Home Child Care Facilities to utilize the pool
with non-member children.
SMOKING:
The pool at Christmas Lake is a non-smoking area. Smoking is not allowed inside the
fenced in area.
CHECK IN THE 19TH HOLE FOR
POOL OPENING SCHEDULE
The staff at CLGC has been working diligently to
make sure the pool is in good working order and
the water meets all safety standards for the safety and enjoyment of all of our pool patrons for
this season. We plan on opening Saturday, May
27, but the rains could throw off our initial numbers. Please check at the 19th Hole on Friday to
see if we will be able to open the pool this weekend. Thanks for your patience.
NEW SUMMER POOL HOURS…
We had many requests about extending pool
hours last year, so here you go. The pool will
hours will be as follows this summer UNLESS WE
HAVE A POOL PARTY SCHEDULED…
 Sundays/Mondays
10 am until 6:45 pm
 Tuesday-Saturday
10 am until 7:45 pm
If we have a pool party scheduled, the pool will
close at 4:45. We will communicate this via email
to all pool members.
PETS:
COMING IN JULY
Pets are not allowed at the pool at any time.
FOOD/DRINK:
Food is not allowed inside the fenced in area. Food & Beverage may not be brought onto
Christmas Lake Property. All food and beverage must be purchased in the 19th Hole. No
glass bottles are allowed at the pool. PERSONAL COOLERS ARE NOT ALLOWED.
POOL PARTIES:
CLGC does rent out the pool for special evening parties. The renter is responsible for
guests and any trash/debris brought into the pool/shelter house area. Please check in the
19th Hole for information on renting out the pool for parties.
LARGE RAFTS, WATER GUNS, AND BALLOONS ARE NOT PERMITTED.








