Free computing courses at Bishopdale Campus Connect, situated in the Bishopdale Mall
across from Westpac.
Campus Connect branches bring a range of free and low-cost courses to neighbourhoods
across the city. You can gain a formal qualification for employment, learn the fundamentals of
computing and business, or equip yourself with useful job hunting skills. Campus Connect allows
you to do all this at your own pace, in a friendly environment with the support of experienced
tutors. To get started on a Computing for Free or Campus Connect course: Choose the course
or programme you'd like to do, then drop in to your chosen Campus Connect site to enrol and
book your first class. Note: please remember to bring your passport or birth certificate with
you (also marriage certificate, if your name has changed) so we can enrol you straight away.

PARENTS/CAREGIVERS MEETING RE NATIONAL
STANDARDS:
On Monday, 7th March, we will be holding an
information session for Parents/Caregivers re
National Standards in the school library at 3.10pm.
We hope you can join us.
YEAR 6 SCHOOL CAMP - 3 WEEKS TO GO:
Please remember that in week 8 (22nd-24th March) the Year 6 children
will be going to Hanmer Springs. The cost of the camp is $150 per child
and needs to be paid before camp. We would like to say thank you to the
Parents/Caregivers who have already returned the Certificate of Approval. If you have not returned the Certificate this needs to be returned to
school as soon as possible. The children have already brought home a list
of clothing, etc, needed for the camp, and now might be a good time to
start getting necessary items together.

At our assembly on Friday awards were presented to the following children:

This week the team will be playing the following games at South Hagley Park:

Well done.
Parents/Caregivers are welcome to come along for support, but will need to make their
own way to South Hagley.
Welcome to our school certificate was presented to Sara Meech in Room 3.

Player of the day was Mele Aranui-Tuituou Kutu. Well done also
to the girls who played in two whole games.

CHOCOLATE FUNDRAISER:
We would like to thank families who have already sold chocolate bars for our school
fundraiser. Extra boxes are available from the school office for children wishing to
sell them.
Please return all unsold chocolates and money to the office by Friday, 1st April
2016.
PLEASE SEE THE OFFICE IF YOU DO NOT WISH TO SELL CHOCOLATE BARS.
DUFFY THEATRE:
On Wednesday, 9th March, the Duffy Theatre will be visiting the
school to perform to the children, at 11am in the school hall. This
is a free production and their performances are always very
entertaining for the children.
