Echoes of the UT fight song can be heard throughout campus from UT’s enthusiastic orientation leaders as they guide the new Rockets through our beautiful and ever expanding campus. This year, each new student will be provided a success coach who will guide them throughout their entire academic career. Unlike academic advisors, success coaches will not change even when a student decides to change their major. Each student’s success coach will be with them from their first class, until they walk across the stage to collect their diploma. A vast number of Auxiliary Service operations are represented at the Information Fair during the New Student Orientations. Our excitement flourishes as we share information regarding our various departments and all that UT has to offer. Whether the conversation is on our wonderful bookstore, banking options, meal plans, parking permits, Rocket Cards, dining venues, The Launch Pad, cellular options or understanding where Rocket Dollars can be used (on/off campus), students and their parents are excited to learn more. The Auxiliary Services orientation team will continue to present at various orientations throughout summer and fall. If you have an event in which you would like our staff to be present, or if you would like information, please contact us at [email protected] . We look forward to supporting our UT community. What many people don’t know is that the wording of the document was agreed upon on July 4th however the actual document was not signed until August 2, 1776. Fun Facts John Hancock, President of the Continental Congress, was the first signer. This merchant by trade did so in an entirely blank space making it the largest and most famous signature - hence the term John Hancock, which is still used today as a synonym for signature. The White House observes July 4 every year by hosting events that can include barbecues, and USO shows in honor of veterans and troops. Additionally there are numerous activities and fireworks for families. $ Banking on Campus $ On-Campus The University is pleased to offer two solutions for your banking needs; The UT Federal Credit Union and Huntington National Bank. Summer The construction is nearly complete for both of the new Huntington branches. These branches are located in the Student Union and the Gateway Plaza and are both full service banks. The UT Federal Credit Union offers a variety of services at their two convenient on-campus locations; Student Union and Mulford Library. Rocky’s Technology Central We are pleased to announce that in early August 2013 Rocky’s Technology Central will be the source for all your technology needs. The technology store is located on the first floor of the Student Union (across from Rocky's Grill and next to the UT Copy Center) and will be open to all active UT Rocket Card holders. We'll carry a wide range of the Apple products you want -- including Mac, iPad and iPod -- along with PCs, printers, gaming systems, accessories and much more. We're almost here! Please watch for more information on Rocky's Technology Central as construction winds to a close. Fun Healthy Facts ! Page 2 Dining Main Campus We are excited about the new payment method for Rocket Wireless customers. This new method allows the customer to be in control of their account and keeps their personal information private. This is the latest upgrade to the Pinnacle system which was deployed three years ago and allowed customers the ability to view their bills electronically. The direct customer pay enhancement was released in mid-June and has been well received. The payment link can be found on the home page of your Pinnacle account. Customer select either the option to pay for their equipment or their monthly bill. The system remains available 24/7 which provides increased flexibility to our customers. If you have questions on eligibility or making a payment, we can be reached at [email protected]. The next phase of the enhancements will include an auto-pay feature. This will allow our customers to set up a reoccurring deduction through the University’s third party payment provider.
