THE HAPPY EVENT was the
birth of 11 chicks at the Woods
Road School. North Babylon.
Miss Schoppmann's 5th Grade
class are the proud parents who
initiated the project. We have 8
chicks left, 2 being roosters with
combs beginning to grow abov e
their beaks. We have put 4 in the
showcase so that all the children
can share the joy of this great
event. Pictures show the early
stages , with lamps used to create
heat and keep the chicks warm.
