School Uniform
We are very proud of our uniform and expect all our students to wear it with pride and feel a sense of
belonging to our community.
For boys:
 School blazer
 White shirt and school clip-on tie
 White polo shirt with school logo (term 6 only)
 Grey V-neck jumper (Winter months only)
 Black trousers
 Black leather shoes (heavy boots and trainers are not to be worn)
 School Scarf (winter months)
For girls:


 Denim, leather or fleecy hooded tops should not be worn as topcoats
 In Year 11 Students wear a school pullover with embroidered badge

A towel is needed for showering after each lesson.
All kit should have no logo or stripes visible.

General Appearance
Jewellery






Girls may wear one pair of earrings providing they are small and in the lobe of the ear.
One close-fitting ring may be worn on one hand.
Boys may not wear earrings.
Girls and boys may wear a small cross and chain under the shirt and may wear a watch.
Students must not have visible body piercings.
All articles of jewellery must be removed for PE and when working in the design area.
Hair
Boys:
 Hair should be no longer than collar length, no shorter than number 3, and must not cover
the face.
 Hair colour should be natural and natural looking highlights will be permitted. However,
there must be no tram lines or patterns cut into the hair and no excessive gel styling.
Girls:
 Hair should be no shorter than number 3 and must not cover the face.
 Hair colour should be natural and natural looking highlights will be permitted. However,
there must be no extreme hair styles or colours.
 Long hair should be tied back for PE and practical subjects. A plain narrow headband may be
worn.
Make-up
Girls may wear light foundation and light mascara.
Eye liner, eye shadow, blusher, lipstick, and nail varnish are not permitted.
Boys may not wear make-up of any kind.
The Headteacher is the sole arbiter in all matters relating to the school uniform and
personal appearance.
