possible. For ease and forward planning, a few commonly asked questions are answered below:
What should the seating plan be?
There is no right and wrong plan - it should be structured
to reflect whatever would make your Wedding Breakfast
most enjoyable.
A traditional top-table seating plan is shown as an example:

Honour
Groom’s
Father
Bride’
s
Mothe

What is a line-up?
It is traditional for the Bride and Groom and their Top Table to greet their guests as they move
into the dining room to enjoy the Wedding Breakfast. The usual line up order is:
The Bride’s Parents, The Bride and Groom, The Grooms Parents
The Bridesmaid(s) and The Best Man
If you choose to have a Master of Ceremonies or a Toastmaster, they will normally organise the
line up for you and keep it moving smoothly.
What happens about Toasts and Speeches?
These would normally take place at the end of the meal after cutting and distribution of the
wedding cake and sparkling wine or champagne.
The following is the usual order of proceedings:

The Bride’s Father speaks on behalf of the Bride and proposes a toast to the Bride &
Groom
