“An Independent and Impartial Judicial System for the Republic of the Fiji Islands” Further to the Judicial Department’s advertisement dated 2nd May, 2015: (i) the following are the revised key accountabilities of the Vacancy No.07/15: Technician, Suva – 1 Post. Provide maintenance, support and overseeing all audio visual and video conference equipment in all court rooms, meeting rooms, workshops, conference room and the preparation of audio visual equipment for events. Setup, operate, maintain and repair equipment used in court recordings, such as microphones, amplifiers, speakers, digital recorders, video recorders, projectors, video cameras, CCTV, Skype services and sound mixing equipment. Perform day-to-day administrative and technical duties as they pertain to court audio, video recording, editing, storage and retrieval. Install and properly support a variety of AV components including but not limited to cabling/wiring (CAT5/6, coax cable, speaker wire, line-level audio and microphone wire), video displays, projectors, projection screens and speakers. Coordinate, setup, and monitor audio visual, video recordings in all events as directed. Work with audio visual vendors to coordinate and maintain the audio visual systems and to improve or advance existing recording systems in accordance with manufacturer’s specifications and industry best practices. Conducts training for court clerks and staff on proper recording and transcription procedures and also maintain an inventory of equipment and supplies. (ii) the Minimum Qualification and Selection Criteria for the Vacancy No.02/15: Senior Administrative Officer [Assets & Property Management Unit], Suva – 1 Post, should read: An Undergraduate Degree in Management & Public Administration, Business Administration or equivalent from a recognized institution with relevant work experience and a Diploma in Building/Civil Engineering/Quantity Surveying would be an added advantage.
