COMPANY OVERVIEW
Detente LLC (Detente) provides industry best practices in medical
support services for government and commercial customers
operating in austere and high-risk environments around the world.
With offices in Atlanta, Washington D.C., Philadelphia and Dubai,
Detente has supported clients from Iraq to Afghanistan and from
Colombia to Uganda. Detente is a small disadvantaged business
that brings proven systems, resources and infrastructure that are
scalable to any mission.
Detente finds its focus in augmenting peacekeeping, capacity
building, development, diplomatic and combat support
operations. Detente delivers a western model of medical support

PARTNER FOR ADVANCED CARE
AND TRAINING
Detente has partnered with Eastern New Mexico University
- Roswell (ENMU-R) to provide advanced telemedicine and
remote medical support anywhere in the world. Through this
reachback support, Detente assures its customers that there is no
diagnosis too difficult, and no emergency that cannot be
addressed. ENMU-R also provides Detente with sponsorship,
quality assurance, instructor development and certification
administration for all courses provided by the American Heart
Association (AHA), National Association of Emergency
Medical Technicians (NAEMT) and the Volunteer Fireman’s
Insurance Corporation (VFIS). ENMU-R facilitates Detente’s
National
Registry
of
Emergency
Medical
Technician’s
(NREMT) Renewal Courses and Continuing Education
(CE) through the university’s Distance Education Program.
This allows the company to deliver onsite initial training
and recertification to its personnel and customers anywhere
in the world.

Detente is the go-to provider of medical services for the
U.S. Armed Forces in Afghanistan. Most recently, Detente
provided emergent and clinical medical services for Army
and Marine Corps operations in the Helmand province. The
company completed its mobilization and transition 6 days ahead
of schedule and was responsible for a 24/7/365 Emergency
Medical Services (EMS) capability and associated supply chain
that supported up to 40,000 Coalition contractors and personnel.
Detente exceeded expectations because of its well-established
relationships with regional and local partners, a practice
common to our operations regardless of the geography.
Detente also provides remote medical and clinical support
to companies delivering Foreign Military Sales (FMS) in Iraq.
For example, at Balad Air Base we deliver advanced medical
services via Physician Assistants (PA) to multiple organizations
and agencies as we serve on the frontline of expeditionary
medical support. Our solution is intentionally designed to scale
up and down as requirements and needs dictate, such that we can
offer highly-effective yet cost conscious support.

KEY HIGHLIGHTS OF EXPERIENCE
In addition to delivering expert medical care, Detente senior
medical staff also delivers training and support services to other
foreign government organizations looking to bolster their own
capabilities. Most recently, Detente delivered national certification
in basic and advanced medical topics to the Colombian National
Police (CNP). Detente worked in close cooperation with the U.S.
Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA). As a result of this
successful collaboration, the CNP has expanded its relationship with
Detente to include recurrent medical training cycles. As a niche offering,
Detente also provides the CNP with pilot ground school and flight
training based on the unique experience of our senior leadership team.

CONSULTING AND AD HOC SUPPORT
Detente has a long history of providing ad hoc consulting
support to help other organizations establish a benchmark
understanding and internal capability for what it takes to
operate in high-threat environments.
Infectious Disease Avoidance Tactics
Detente’s infectious disease avoidance tactics focus on primary
and secondary prevention as well as mitigation. We work sideby-side with our customers to understand their risk profile and
tolerance after a thorough review of their project location’s
atmospherics.
Indigenous Medical Facilities Quality Control and Review
Before you set foot on the ground, Detente deploys senior
medical advisors to conduct a review of local facilities.
Our audit provides customers with a full and unbiased
understanding of what is available locally. Detente then
provides recommendations on best available resources as
determined by our experts.
Emergency Medical Evacuation
Should the unfortunate occur, Detente has the global presence
necessary to get our customers’ personnel to safety in swift
fashion. Our aircraft are fully equipped to provide ambulatory
care en route to one of our pre-approved medical centers in
Europe and the United States. Detente offers dedicated or
by-use aviation assets for transportation specifically tailored to
individual customers.
