SCHOOL DISTRICT OF CRANDON NEW SUPERINTENDENT PROFILE The new superintendent should be a person who: Has a clear, inspiring vision for the School District of Crandon. Has a commitment to the continued success of the Districts RTI and PBIS initiative (Cardinal Pride) Is an instructional leader who can provide leadership for improving the curriculum and guiding the continued implementation personalized learning and 21st Century Skills. Understands elementary and secondary teaching and learning, research and assessment and will work collaboratively with others in the implementation of best practices. Works productively and positively with the Board of Education, educating and leading them as they seek best solutions for the District and its people. Is a visible leader who builds authentic and sincere relations with staff, administration, parents and community members. Has skill in framing issues, working collaboratively to find solutions, presenting options, and ultimately making recommendations to the Board of Education. Is a person with integrity with high ethical standards with a strong desire to bridge gaps and embrace our diversity. Is a strong communicator who interacts directly with all constituent groups through active listening, speaking, writing and electronic communication. Is a consensus builder and collaborative leader who solicits input from many stakeholder groups prior to making decisions with far-reaching impact. Understands school finance and business operations. Is child centered and makes all decisions with the best interest of all students in mind. Is a positive person who is optimistic and approachable. Is familiar with the uses of instructional technology. Is a person who inspires and motivates others. Works with the community and demonstrates a commitment to all students and residents of the School District of Crandon.
