Once again we are joined by Crossing The Border under the musical direction of Janet Koralambe. This evening’s concert is inspired by the land, and our relationship with the natural environment. Complementing the music will be readings of poetry and prose, on the same theme, selected by Janet and members of the choir . The readings will be performed by Eileen Ryan and Robert Walker. Tonight the choir is pleased to welcome - Stephen Bayfield Stephen will be making a special guest appearance in part two of the concert. He will be donating his fee for this evening’s performance to the charity ‘Suffolk Family Carers’. She has worked in schools and theatres, run pre-school music groups and led singing sessions in residential homes. She started running community choirs about six years ago and now runs three groups - Halesworth Community Choir; Village Voices, based in Hoxne; and Crossing The Border. Each choir is open access, no previous experience needed, just a desire to sing with others. Halesworth Community Choir Halesworth Community Choir is open to people of all ages and abilities. Music is taught by ear so you don't have to be able to read it. Recruitment is open and without audition, and we rehearse at The Cut on Sundays. Please visit: Our web site (http://hcc1.no-ip.info/), or Facebook page (http://www.facebook.com/HalesworthCommunityChoir) for more information about the choir. Crossing The Border Crossing The Border is a small group for more confident singers that like singing with just two or three people to a part. We like tackling more complex harmonies but everything is still taught by ear for those that don't read music. We meet at The Bank Community Arts Centre in Eye on Wednesday evenings from 7.30 - 9.15.
