Then, write the responses in words instead of numbers. (Notice this involves process TEKS.) TEKS 3.4 C (Readiness TEKS) and 3.14 B (Process TEKS) Dad planned to buy mom perfume for her birthday. Sunlight Perfume was 9-ounces for $72. Evening Perfume was 6-ounces for $54 dollars. If Dad paid $8 per ounce, which answer shows how Dad decided which bottle of perfume he should buy mom? A. Dad multiplied $72 times 9 and bought Sunlight Perfume. B. Dad multiplied $54 times 6 and bought Evening Perfume. C. Dad divided $72 by 9 and bought Sunlight Perfume. D. Then develop a situation asking for the correct process of solving the problem. (Notice this involves process TEKS.) TEKS 3. 4 C (Readiness TEKS) and 3.15 B (Process TEKS) Mom spent $72 on a 9-ounce bottle of perfume. Dad wanted to know how much 1-ounce of perfume cost. Then include proving the answer by writing the responses in a way the thoughts are explained. 3.4 C (Readiness) and 3.16 B (Process) Before school starts every summer my sister and I go on a shopping trip. This year I wanted to buy some perfume, but it was so expensive I wanted to get the most perfume for the least amount of money. In the store on the first counter I saw a 9-ounce bottle for $ 72. On the second counter I saw a 6-ounce bottle for $ 54. My sister quickly saw which perfume was the best buy for me. How did she prove to me which was the bottle that I should buy to get the most for my money? A. She divided $72 by 9 and divided $ 54 by 6 and then compared the amount of ounces in the bottles. B. She also planned to buy her mom a bottle of the same perfume. How can she figure out how much she would spend on perfume if she buys both bottles? A. Add 8 and 9 to get the sum B.
