Allocation £8,415
To continue to raise the quality and profile of PE and sport in school, ensuring
that standards are at least good. We will:

•
•
•
•
Hire qualified sports coaches to teach across the school
We will continue to organise for specialist coaches to come into school
Continue to participate in the local sports hub
In partnership with other local primary schools within our cluster, we will
continue to participate in the local sports hub. This will enable us to access
support and opportunities to participate in tournaments
Provide places for pupils in after school sports clubs
Our school already offers a range of after school clubs, accessed by children
from Key Stages 1 and 2. These clubs will continue to run as before. We aim to
provide clubs for Football, Cricket, Tennis, Rugby, Running and Athletics. Some
clubs will run throughout the year and others will be seasonal.
Provide opportunities for children to compete
Our PE Co-ordinator will organise tournaments between the local primaries,
whilst offering further opportunities for our more gifted children, allowing
them to compete against other children at a higher level.
Provide playground games at lunchtimes
Lunchtime Supervisors who engage with children’s play can transform
lunchtimes.
Introduce ‘Warm-up Wednesday’
This year all pupils will participate in a weekly aerobic session. This whole school
exercise regime aims to improve concentration at the start of the day whilst
also improving general fitness levels.
Work towards the Sainsbury School Games Mark
Children across the school will have opportunities to develop their skills.
We will also:
Pay for transport to various events and hire of the village hall for gymnastics
and dance
Purchase new sports equipment
Purchase a new football team kit – pupils will have a higher self-esteem and
sense of pride for their team
