However some plants need a fire to reproduce. From the library , internet or Encarta, find out why a fire is so important to certain trees in the forest. They need fire to reproduce. How do authorities know where they are and how best to control them? They use fire towers to spot the fires. Aeroplanes check on them. Sometimes they use satellites.
