New Additions to our Staff
Misti Morgan & Nakeita Smith
Misti Morgan — Joins us as a Support Service Specialist. I am a graduate of
Michigan State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Science. I have over 10
years of professional experience in Education Management. I have one daughter, 9 years
old who attends Detroit Edison Public School Academy. I am very honored and excited
to be a part of the team here at Payne-Pulliam School. I look forward to working closely
with each of you to accomplish the vision and mission of Payne-Pulliam School here in
the city of Detroit.
Nakeita Smith — Joins us as an Administrative Assistant with over 20 years’ experience in Finance and Customer Service and a graduate of Baker College with a Bachelor’s
degree in Business Administration. I have two beautiful children, a son in fifth grade and a
daughter in her junior year at Central Michigan University w a major in Advertising. It is a
honor and privilege to work at Payne-Pulliam School because my personal values are
aligned with the values of the school. I am an advocate of higher learning and education
and I instill these values into my children’s daily lives.
Falisha Bentley, Evette Tripp, & Sandra Morha
Falisha Bentley — Joins us as a Counselor. I love working with people. I think that
Payne Pulliam School is the best school in the City of Detroit to help PATH participants
get to “self-sufficiency”. I love working at Payne Pulliam school because I get the opportunity to be a leader, a problem solver, and I provide supportive services to clients.
Evette Tripp — Joins us as the Education Trainer. Some people choose their profession, however I believe my profession chose me. I am an educator and a teacher, and
my vision of who I am is a personal life coach. At Payne Pulliam I view myself as more
than a teacher, and I am grateful for the opportunity to teach, model, coach, and serve.
Along with solving mathematical problems, I enjoy completing Sudoku and jigsaw puzzles, calligraphy, decorating, and reading personal growth books.
Sandra Morha — Joins us as a MIS Specialist. Also I am currently attending
Wayne State University. One of my favorite quotes comes from the great poet Maya Angelou; which states “We may encounter many defeats but we must not be defeated.” Working at Payne Pulliam is giving me an opportunity to work with people, students, teachers,
and survivors whom have been through different walks of life with various backgrounds
and I am grateful for this opportunity because in return I am learning the true meaning of
courage, hard work and most importantly compassion.
Lisa Everson — Joins us as an Administrative Assistant. I was born and raised in
Detroit, Michigan and as a little girl I’ve always had the desire and ability to help and
motivate everyone that crossed my path. I’m outgoing and passionate about life and I seek
new God given adventures every day. At this point in my life I’m very proud to be a new
member of the Payne-Pulliam family. This company has such remarkable history, growth,
ambition and life changing authority and my goal is to assist in keeping that going. Thank
you Mrs. Pulliam & Mrs. Lindsay-Payne for letting me be a part of this chapter here at
— Joins us as a Case Manager. I have worked as an Allied Health
Instructor and Director of Education at Kaplan Career Institute and Sanford Brown College. I received a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, Minor in Mental Health from Madonna University in December 2001 and a Master’s Degree in Industrial and Organizational Psychology and Development from Walden University in August 2010. In 2005, I
was asked by the Department of Labor to travel around the Nation teaching teachers and
other staff how to integrate soft skills into the classroom and their everyday lives. I am
very passionate about motivating others to realize their potential and encouraging them to
strive to achieve a higher level of education.
