I Got Caught!
A program to promote the use of bicycle helmets...
This year will mark the 3rd annual I Got Caught Program. 100
helmets will be given away to Rock Run Elementary and Riverbend
Middle School students to kick off to the program this Friday, May
10th. Please discuss as a family if your child needs a helmet.
Helmets will be distributed on a first come, first serve basis. The
Hardin County Trails Committee will distribute helmets until they
are gone.
What happens when caught...
The Iowa Falls Police Department, community members, and school officials will be ticketing coloring-fun.com
students of all ages
through the end of the school year in both Iowa Falls and Alden. Students “caught” wearing a helmet while biking will
be handed a I Got Caught ticket. The ticket is good for a free ice cream cone at the Princess Cafe. Rock Run or
Riverbend students can turn the bottom portion of the ticket at school to enter the grand prize raffle drawing.
Join on Bicycool Saturday bike rides...
The Hardin County Trails Committee is partnering with the Barlow Memorial Library and the
Alden Public Library for two Bicycool events. Rides will start from both locations at the same
time, meet outside the Barlow Memorial Library or the Alden Public Library on Saturday, May
18th at 2 p.m. or Saturday, May 25th at 10 a.m. for a community bike ride. All student riders
wearing a helmet will be ticketed, have the chance to check out books, and receive free library
giveaways!!
