Science and Social Studies
S3P2. Students will investigate magnets and how they affect other magnets and common
objects. a. Investigate to find common objects that are attracted to magnets. b. Investigate
how magnets attract and repel each other.
 Identify natural objects attracted to magnets  Describe attraction and repulsion of magnetic
poles  Measure strength of various magnets  Explain how magnets are used in everyday life
 Identify magnets that students use or have used Investigate connections to rocks and
nature magnets.
Math
This week, we will be
practicing our skills that
we have recently learned
with fractions.
We will practice
recognizing unit
fractions and will be
finding equivalent
fractions.
Reading & Writing
Writing- We will be reviewing written responses and
grammar topics for MILESTONES.
Shared Reading Book –
We will begin reading a book about Franklin D.
Roosevelt.
Spelling Words – depression-sadness OR low area in
the ground, widow- woman whose husband has died,
agony- terrible pain, engagement- a promise of
marriage, cause- to make something happen, era- a
long period of time when something specific happened,
democrats, republicans- US political parties,
champion- the winner of something, advantagesomething good to help you succeed
