ADJUSTMENT CHARGE TO CUSTOMER
If any tire covered by this policy becomes unserviceable during it’s full
original tread life, because of a road hazard, the servicing dealer will
make an allowance on the adjustment price of a comparable new
Eldorado tire. The replacement charge will be based on the tread
depth remaining on the tire. The customer is responsible for mounting,
balancing and any applicable taxes.
A tire has delivered its full original tread life when worn down to the
treadwear safety indicators molded into the tire, which means a tire
with only 2/32 of tread remaining is considered worn out. No cash
refund will be made.
After checking the chart to determine the original 32nds of tread on a
new tire of the same type, measure the tire to determine the remaining
tread depth. Subtract the remaining tread depth from the beginning
tread depth to give the number of 32’s of depth used. Multiply the
32nds used times the charge per 32nd per the chart. This should be
the charge the customer pays for the replacement tire plus applicable
mounting, balancing and any applicable taxes.
CREDIT TO DEALER
Your credit will be determined by taking your current cost of the
equivalent replacement tire less the charge you should have collected
from the customer as noted above. When the customer charge is in
excess of your replacement cost the credit will be zero. Please note an
equivalent tire must be purchased.
ROAD HAZARD ASSISTANCE
ROAD HAZARD ASSISTANCE - Recognizing that it is sometimes difficult to avoid obstacles in the road such
as, glass, chuck holes, etc., that can cause damage to the tire to the extent that it is non-repairable and no
longer serviceable, this assistance is meant to help.
WHAT IS COVERED?
All ELDORADO BRAND Radial Passenger and Radial Light Truck tires are covered under the Road
Hazard Assistance Program.
Exceptions
In some lines, to cover a size, Tire Associates makes available a neutral tire.
These tires are not ELDORADO BRANDED and therefore are not covered under the Road
Hazard Assistance.
HOW IS IT COVERED?
All tires adjusted under the Road Hazard Assistance Program will use a “Road Hazard Adjustment Charge”
on a comparable ELDORADO replacement tire.
THIS ROAD HAZARD ASSISTANCE EXCLUDES:
repairable punctures, worn out or run flat tires, irregular tread wear, willful damage or abuse, and damage due to
tire chains, fire, wreck or collision, tubes, out of round or bent wheels, defective brakes, shocks, steering and
improper alignment damage. Tires which have been used on any commercial vehicle or any car used for
competitive purposes such as races, rallies or time trials are also excluded.
HIGH PERFORMANCE
Speed rating no longer applies to an ELDORADO produced tire that has been altered as determined by Tire
Manufacturers. Always follow accepted repair methods and use proper materials, as recommended by Tire
Manufacturers.
Any replacement under these policies does not include charges for local sales tax, nor dealer services such as
mounting and wheel balancing — such additional charges, if any, will be borne by the customer.
These policies do not, in any way extend to consequential damage resulting from either workmanship or material
related condition or road hazard damage.
No representative has authority to make any representation, promise, or agreement except as stated herein.
EXCLUSION OF WARRANTIES:
It is agreed that the seller makes no warranties, express or implied, and no representations, promises, or
statements to the buyer with reference to the goods covered by this agreement. It is expressly understood that
all warranties, express or implied, are between the manufacture and the buyer. The seller shall not in any case
be liable to the buyer for consequential or incidental damages of any kind whether for defective or
nonconforming goods, breach or repudiation of any term, or condition hereof, or otherwise.
