LAUSD 5K "MOVE IT!" CHALLENGE
CTE TRANSITION FOR SUCCESS
Thank you to AFOC’s CTE instructors who
participated in the DACE Professional
Development event on March 5, 2016 at
Slawson Occupational Center. The focus of
this professional development event was on
how to build a Professional Learning
Community (PLC) within our CTE
programs. A PLC is an on-going process in
which both teachers and administrators
work collaboratively to analyze student
progress and assessment results in order to
improve student learning outcomes and
improve the teacher practice. These student
outcomes are vital to our membership in the
Los Angeles Regional Adult Education
Consortium (LARAEC) and the Adult
Education Block Grant (AEBG).
