Eight years ago, when we first put our precision ergonomics under a set of sporty looking flip flop
straps, the only rules we followed were dictated by expert biomechanists Dr Dave Cook and Dr
Darren James , who had created FitFlop’s multi-density Microwobbleboard midsole. It was ‘sportygorgeous’ on top and ergonomically engineered underneath.
And women absolutely loved it.
And so we realised that the really cool shoes (or sandals, or boots, or clogs) are the ones you wear
until they fall apart, that look good with everything, the shoes that are so comfortable they call your
name from the closet, the lived-in ones you love so much you can’t bear to ‘bin’ them. Shoes with
that same perfect combination of beauty, brains and top-notch biomechanics. Of logic and magic.
We make them. And they – in turn – make us.

Responsibilities:



To ensure all FitFlop production is consistent with the Platinum sample and is manufactured
to FF physical requirements.
To check all incoming materials and components to ensure they comply with materials used
for Platinum sample production
Manage the production to ensure the factory achieves the required quality standards of FF







Conduct AQL’s of all PO’s to ensure only satisfactory stock is shipped from the factory
Report on all factory activities exactly and AQL performance to the QA manager, on time and
in full.
Aid the development process by attending Pre Production meetings and ensuring SOP’s
meet with FF recommended manufacturing procedures
Attend grading meeting to ensure all grades are correct and fitting is as the confirmed fitting
sample
Attend cutting die test to ensure all dies are graded correctly
Monitor Pre Production trials and report in detail any discrepancy from Platinum sample or
production difficulty experienced by the factory, which may have an impact on production.
Reporting AQL activities and AQL analysis by production line and factory
The Person:





A minimum of five years’ experience, with a good understanding of all footwear
manufacturing processes and production methods
Must have good communication skills in English, oral and written
Must be competent with Microsoft Word & Excel
Must have the ability to initiate good working relationships with other team members
Sports-shoe background preferable
