Gently worn coats can be dropped off at any Burlington location from Saturday, November 1, 2014 through January 19, 2015. What qualifies as "gently worn"? Coats with working closures, and no rips or stains. Do coats have to be dry-cleaned before they are donated? No. Coats don’t have to be dry-cleaned but they do need to be clean – no dirt or stains. Do you accept other donations? No, not at this time. How do I get my 10% off coupon? Drop off any coat to the donation box at the entrance of any Burlington by January 19, 2015. In exchange for your coat donation, a greeter will issue a 10% off entire purchase coupon along with a tax receipt. If there is no greeter present, please ask an associate for your coupon. How are the coats distributed? K.I.D.S. / Fashion Delivers has identified local agencies across the country that helps those in need, and has matched them with each Burlington location. All coats are kept locally in each store community to help those most in need. Why do you give the coats to a charity instead of individuals in need? K.I.D.S. / Fashion Delivers is experienced at matching our stores with local agencies to donate merchandise, and in this case, coats. The goal of the Warm Coats and Warm Hearts Drive is to make sure people locally benefit from this drive. The local agencies that K.I.D.S. / Fashion Delivers has partnered with ensures that the donated coats reach the people and families who need them most in local communities.
