Work Health & Safety
Make your work easier
At Clarius, we take WHS seriously and the safety of our staff,
contractors and temps continues to be of high importance.
• Always check the weight of the load and get help if necessary
We endeavour to work closely with you and our clients to
ensure that your working environment is safe and risk free.
We encourage you to follow safe procedures within your
work area and to inform your immediate Manager or Account
Manager of any areas of concern.
Please make time to read through this booklet and our WHS
policy (which has been provided to you or available upon
request) and keep in mind many of the tips and hints for
creating a safe work environment.
• Wherever possible, use a hand trolley to move heavy loads
such as boxes of paper
• Wear comfortable clothing and flat, non-slip shoes
• Store loads that you move regularly at waist height so
that you don’t have to bend your spine or lift overhead
• Make sure that the pathway is clear
Some handy hints

Tips
Desk stretches
These are stretches to do at your desk. This program will
take 2 ½ - 3 minutes.
Workstations
• Breathe easily
To decrease the likelihood of an injury associated with
tasks performed at a workstation, you should:
• No bouncing or forcing
• Change posture often to minimise fatigue
• No pain!
• Avoid awkward postures at the extremes of the joint
range, especially the wrists
• Feel the stretch
• Avoid unnecessary swivelling in your chair, especially
when attempting to reach and twist at the same time
• Relax
• Take frequent short rests (every hour) rather than
infrequent longer rests
