These compact
instruments are the
toughest we have ever
built with aluminum
resonators replacing the
previous ABS designs.
The side edges are
sheathed in aluminum
as well making them
virtually indestructible.
They occupy less space
and they require less
budget too, making
them attractive on many
levels. Stands come
in two sizes: either
standard or preschool.
The grouping is offered

of the Imbarimba featured on page 8.
This instrument evolved from a classic

The Imbarimba is a unique musical design combining
the elements of two African instruments: the marimba
and the kalimba. These notes are arranged in the layout
of the kalimba. This allows both hands equal access to
entirely weatherproof and withstand hard use and

Stunning in both their towering appearance and low resonant sound, these
seven chimes are pitched one octave below middle C. The chimes range in
height from seven to nine feet. They are made of four-inch diameter, heavy
duty anodized aluminium tube, and can be installed in a horseshoe shape
to enable the player to experience a “surround sound” effect. Contrabass

Color Choices for the painted parts of some instruments are available in stock colors and custom colors. We
recommend choosing stock color instruments for our standard price and faster delivery. The custom color
chart is located on our website. Keep in mind, there is an additional fee for these color selections and an
additional 4 weeks is required for delivery.

Freenotes are painted with a highly scratch resistant catalysed automotive paint used for plastic motorcycle

All Freenotes instruments (with the exception of the Tuned Drums) are supplied with two or more durable
mallets, made to withstand the outdoor elements. They are attached to the instrument with nylon-coated
stainless steel cables. Additional mallets can be purchased and attached, as more than one person can
play each instrument at the same time. The heights of every instrument can be adjusted to accommodate
players of all ages.
Instrument supports are made of dark brown, high-density, recycled plastic. Guaranteed never to rot, warp
or crack. Powder-coated steel posts are optional.
Freenotes instruments require little maintenance and are highly resistant to vandalism. Notes can be kept
clean merely by wiping with a soft moist cloth. Spare parts and replacement mallets are available from
Freenotes Harmony Park, or your chosen distributor.
